FUDE PEN : NIHON-DATE KABURA : NO.55

This double ended brush pen has a hard brush tip and a soft brush tip to make lettering, outlining and inking illustrations as simple as possible. The soft brush tip is more flexible than a normal tip making it easier to create thick or thin strokes, while the hard brush tip is stiffer and allows for a greater degree of control. It is filled with water-soluble dye ink.

Fude pens are a type of brush pen used traditionally for Japanese calligraphy but are a great tool for many artists. The brush pens either have brush tips made with brush fibres or fibre/foam tips that mimic a brush shape. They are roughly the size of normal marker pens making them convenient to travel with and easy to pack away.

Kuretake Co. Ltd was founded in Nara in 1902. They began by manufacturing Sumi Ink and have since moved on to provide their customer’s with high quality markers, inks, brush pens and a great range of pen solutions and writing tools to satisfy every need. All their pens are made in Japan and are suitable for both professionals and amateurs.
