Kuretake Gansai Tambi are high-class, traditional, hand-made, Japanese water paints, developed in cooperation with Japanese artists.

By limiting the number of components to a minimum, the paints are characterized by a very high concentration of pigment and an unusual - exceptionally smooth and creamy consistency.

They dissolve perfectly, even fabulously and extremely easily transfer to the brush and then to the paper.

Metallic colors are highly opaque when painted using less water, they resemble gouaches.

In this form, they are great for strong accents, highlights and details.

When using more water, they become more transparent, similar to watercolors.

They are great for illustration and calligraphy.
