Princeton Catalyst Blades are flexible silicone tools designed for use with heavy-bodied paints and textured materials. They provide responsive control for spreading, shaping, and sculpting paint.

Suitable for oils, acrylics, and water-miscible oils, they are also heat-resistant, making them well-suited to encaustic techniques. Artists are using them with plaster, clay, and even frosting as they are made of FDA-approved silicone.

The solvent-resistant silicone surface is easy to clean, with most residue removable using mild soap and water. Dried paint can be peeled away, and the silicone blade can be separated from the wooden handle for thorough cleaning or replacement.
