Kuretake “IPPITSU KOBAKO” is a minimalist Japanese Sumié ink set, formulated with 3 basic pieces for initiation into traditional Japanese style paintings.

The concept of diluting paint using an ultra-pigmented stick allows it to be used in various techniques, such as watercolor, drawing, calligraphy, sumi-e, or any other water-based coloring technique.

With the sticks, you can easily control the density of the paint or the mixing of colors, adjusting the “bleeding” and blurring of the colors.

Beautiful case lined with beautiful oriental paper, this Sumiê set is also an object of desire and decoration for collectors.

How to use:

Add water to the inkstone base
Using pressure, grind the ink stick into the water in circular motions
When the ink reaches the consistency you prefer, guide it towards the “puddle” on the inkstone
Repeat the steps according to the amount of ink you want

Storage:

After use, be sure to remove moisture by gently wiping the ink stick with a cloth or paper.
It is easy to rinse and clean the ink.
