Art Spectrum Colourfix Optimum boards are premium, high-density foam boards that are screen printed by hand with a lightfast, sanded acrylic gesso. Superb for use with pastels, oil colors, acrylics, inks, gouache, watercolors, and dry media such as charcoal and pencils, they offer a robust, toothy surface that will hold multiple layers of media.

The secret that separates this board from all others is a super thin layer of aluminum within the board that prevents warping and helps preserve this substrate’s lightweight and sturdy characteristics. Made from ethically sourced, 100% virgin wood pulp, these plein air boards are archival, acid-free, and ready to be framed with no backing board required. Each Optimum Board is extremely lightweight, weighing just over 6 oz.

Boards are available in a variety of lightfast colors, all with the Original Colourfix tooth.

This is the Rainbow 6 Pack which includes one of each of the following colours: White, Soft Umber, Terracotta, Rose Grey, Blue Haze and Deep Black.
