Petite Knit Seaside Sweater - Knitting Pattern / Kit
The Seaside Sweater is worked from the top down with raglan increases. The first part of the yoke is worked back and forth on circular needles, while the button placket is being created along the left front raglan line. After the button placket has been completed, the work is joined to continue knitting in the round on the circular needles. The Seaside Sweater is worked in stripes from the middle of the yoke and downwards.
Size guide
The Seaside Sweater is designed to have approx. 15-20 cm [6-7¾ inches] of positive ease. The sizes 9-12 months (1-2 years) 2-3 years (3-4 years) 4-5 years (5-6 years) 6-7 years (7-8 years) 8-9 years (9-10 years) 10-12 years (12-14 years) are designed to fit a chest circumference of 49 (53) 54 (56) 57 (59) 62 (64) 68 (72) 78 (82) cm [19¼ (20¾) 21¼ (22) 22½ (23¼) 24½ (25¼) 26¾ (28¼) 30¾ (32¼) inches]. The measurements for the finished sweater are listed on the front page of the pattern. Please note that these measurements are only achieved if the correct gauge is maintained throughout. If you/the recipient measures 62 cm [24½ inches] around the chest, you should knit a size 6-7 years. A size 6-7 years sweater has a chest circumference of 80 cm [31½ inches] which in the given example would give you 18 cm [7 inches] of positive ease. If the measured chest circumference deviates from the age guide, you can adjust

Published Thursday, 27 November 20255 out of 5This wool is enjoyable to knit and quality control is excellent - I haven't come across any flaws in the yarn. I have been surprised to find a separate piece of yarn inside several balls of between 75 and 100cm in length, so I am putting them aside for sewing the garment together when the knitting is finished. I would buy this brand of yarn again
