Knitting Pattern for a ribbed beanie and same patterned scarf designed for a DK 8Ply weight Alpaca Yarn - Indiecita DK Easy Wash by Alpaca Yarns - this accessory combo is a charming combination of textures for the beginner knitter to learn and perfect.

The Beanie is knit flat and seamed while the scarf is an easy to remember 4-row pattern.

Approx. measurements:
Beanie to fit head 56-58 cm
Scarf: 19cm wide x 155cm long.
Gauge: 22 stitches x 30 rows over stocking stitch using 4mm needles.

Materials:
Beanie: Approx. 2 balls of the Indiecita DK Easy Wash or 230 metres of a similar weight DK 8ply natural fibre yarn.

Scarf: Approx. 3 balls the Indiecita DK Easy Wash or 340 metres of a similar weight DK 8ply natural fibre yarn.
4mm knitting needles or size needed to give correct tension.
Tapestry Wool needle.

I bought this yarn to knit a hat for my son-in -law who is allergic to wool. It was gorgeous to knit with and the end result is so soft and squishy. Will definitely be buying it again.

I needed a thinner needle with a bigger eye than what I had to sew in ends and this set is perfect! The cable eye makes it so easy to thread the yarn through.

Not as smooth as the KnitPro needles I usually use. However, it was only for a few rows using this needle so persevered. Light weight needles which suited my hands perfectly.

I wish I had known about these needles years ago! They are great, and make finishing a knitting project, sewing in ends, etc, so much easier. Well worth having.
