Incredibly thick clear-gel medium. Add to oil colours to for extra ‘body’ without altering the colour.
Constituents - Refined Safflower Oil,  Fumed Silica, Castor Wax, Cobalt Drier, Calcium Drier

Application:

• Langridge Impasto Medium may be added to oil colours in quantities at the discretion of the artist. Mixed with oil colours, it may be applied with a brush or palette knife in thicker films than any other Langridge Medium.
• Initially small additions will stiffen the handling of existing oil colours. As more medium is added, the oil colour will be suspended and extended forming a thick paste. When worked using a brush or palette knife the medium becomes slightly looser allowing for easy incorporation with colours.
• The Safflower oil content in Impasto Medium is slow drying allowing for a wet-in-wet technique with very controlled manipulation of paint including soft blending. Transparent colours will display Translucency immediately and can be extended indefinitely to form thick glazes.
• Langridge Impasto Medium has a high oil content and, as such, is a ‘fat’ medium. Due to it’s physical nature Langridge recommends not over painting Impasto medium with any other medium.
• Dries to a satin finish.
