Anna’s Christening Gown is worked from the top down. The yoke is worked in the round on a circular needle in rib with increases. The skirt is also worked in the round, still with increases to give the skirt width. The sleeves are worked on double-pointed needle or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. The length of the dress can be adjusted according to your wished.

Sleeve circumference: 20 (20) 23 cm [7¾ (7¾) 9 inches]

Gauge: 28 sts x 39 rows in rib on 3 mm [US2½] needles = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] after wash and blocking

Needles: Circular needles: 3 mm [US2½] / 40, 60 and 80 or 100 cm [16, 24, and 32 or 40 inches] 2.5 mm [US1½] / 80 or 100 cm [32 or 40 inches]; Double-pointed needles: 2.5 mm [US1½] and 3 mm [US2½] (unless the Magic Loop technique is used)

Materials: 400 (450) 500 g Sunday by Sandnes Garn (50 g = 235 m [257 yds]), knitting-in elastic or thin elastic thread for the neck edge
