Petite Knit Niels Sweater - Knitting Pattern / Kit
The Niels Sweater is worked from the top down. First, the top section of the back yoke is worked with short rows and increases. Then the shoulders are worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the back yoke. Stitches are then picked up and knitted along the shoulders and the rest of the yoke is worked in the round on the circular needle. The body is worked in the round on a circular needle and the sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. At the end, a folded rib edge with double knitting is worked along the neck edge. /p>
Size guide
The Niels Sweater is designed to have approx. 10 cm [4 inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 10 cm [4 inches] larger in circumference than the chest circumference. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a chest circumference of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101 107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) 132-144 cm [33¾-35¾ (35¾-37¾) 37¾-39¾ (39¾-42¼) 42¼-44½ (44½-46¾) 46¾-48¾ (48¾-52) 52-56¾ inches]. The measurements for the finished sweater are listed on the front page of the pattern. Measure yourself before beginning your project to determine which size will fit you the best. For example, if you measure 107 cm [42¼ inches] around your chest (or around the widest part of your upper body), you should knit a size L. A sweater in size L has a chest circumference of 117 cm [46 inches] which in the given example would give you 10 cm [4 inches] of positive ease. Schematics can be found here.

Published Thursday, 27 November 20255 out of 5This wool is enjoyable to knit and quality control is excellent - I haven't come across any flaws in the yarn. I have been surprised to find a separate piece of yarn inside several balls of between 75 and 100cm in length, so I am putting them aside for sewing the garment together when the knitting is finished. I would buy this brand of yarn again
