Petite Knit Vega Sweater - Knitting Pattern / Kit
The Vega Sweater is knitted from the top down. First, the upper part of the back is knitted with reverse stitches and increases. Then the shoulders are knitted from picked up stitches at the top of the back piece. Stitches are picked up along the shoulders, and the rest of the yoke is knitted in the round on a circular needle. The body is knitted in the round on a circular needle, and the sleeves are knitted in the round on double pointed needles or with the Magic Loop technique. Finally, a neck edge is knitted from picked up stitches in the neck opening - first in double stitch and then in double rib.
Size guide
Vega Sweater should have a positive ease of movement of approx. 22 cm in relation to your chest measurement. The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) correspond to a chest measurement measured on your own body of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The measurements of the finished sweater are stated on the front of the pattern (note that these measurements only apply if the knitting tension is observed). Measure yourself before you start knitting to assess which size will fit you best. For example, if you measure 90 cm around your chest (or the widest part of your body), you should knit a size S. A sweater in size S has a width of 112 cm and in the example mentioned will provide a positive ease of movement of 22 cm. The measurement chart can be found here .
