5/5Justine Published Monday, 3 April 2023 I use the Dylusions Creative Journal for making themed junk journals - I'm currently working on one with a 19th century "day in the countryside" theme. This size (8.3 x 5.6) is perfect as it is easier to create concise and detailed pages (and the project doesn't get out of hand!). The heavyweight cardstock is perfect for use with decoupage paper, patterned tissue, fabric remnants, stamping, and all manner of paper ephemera. The elastic strap keeps the journal shut, and as my project expands, so does the strap - nothing falls out! Once the project is completed, the journal covers can be decorated, and I enjoy attaching a Tim Holtz metal adornment - such as an antique frame or lock and key - to establish the theme. My six-year-old niece (a keen paper crafter) now has her own Dylusions Creative Journal and loves being able to use her pens knowing that they won't bleed through the pages. She also loves the envelope inside the front cover where she can "stash" all her secret notes. I highly recommend this product!
