While l'm only new to the world of fabric dying l've found to varying degrees that much of the finished out also includes the type of fabric being processed as well as the other ingredients added and the amount of time the fabric is submerged in the dye. I can't express how much more vibrant the finished is with the added use of the 'color fixative' is during the final steps of the overall process
