Felted wool vs. pressed wool: What’s the difference?

Not all wool mats are equal. Cheaper options often use pressed wool, made by compressing loose fibers — usually with synthetic binders or fillers. It might look like wool, but it won’t perform like it — and can leave residue on your iron or fabric.

Our mats are made with dense felted wool, created by bonding the fibers using moisture, heat, and pressure — no glue, no fillers, just pure wool.
